She was born September 2, 1926, in Ramsey, IL, the daughter of Jess & Beatrice (Sanders) Hicks. She married Warren Franklin Sanders on February 16, 1950, in Vandalia, IL, he passed away April 29, 1993. She was a retired school teacher and homemaker; and a member of New Bethel Baptist Church, Ramsey, IL.
