Vicki Sue Burtschi, 73, of Vandalia, IL passed away at 7:15 PM, Saturday, January 04, 2025 at her home, surrounded by family.
A private graveside service will take place in Bethlehem Cemetery, rural Vandalia. A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 PM, January 19, 2025 at the Vandalia Moose Lodge in Vandalia. Vicki Sue Bogart was born on August 29, 1951, in Salem, MO, the daughter of Russel Raymond and Virginia Nadine (Sawyer) Bogart. She married Daniel L. Burtschi III on March 13, 1982, and together they shared over 35 years of marriage until his passing January 29, 2018.
Vicki worked several jobs during her life to help support her family, including delivering auto parts, waitressing, and management, but she was most known for her smiling face and leadership at the Vandalia Ponderosa Steakhouse, where she mentored many young people during her fifteen
