Billy Roger Carter, 90, of Ramsey, Illinois, passed away Wednesday, March 19, 2025, at his home in Ramsey, IL.
Services will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, March 21, 2025, at Miller Funeral Home, Ramsey, IL with Pastor Terry Sapp officiating. Burial will follow at Blankenship Cemetery, Rural Ramsey, IL. Visitation will be held from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM, Friday, March 21, 2025, at the funeral home. Miller Funeral Home, Ramsey, IL, is in charge of arrangements. He was born September 14, 1934, in Macoupin County, IL, to Orville Daniel & Dorothy Faye (Jackson) Carter. Billy was a graduate of Ramsey High School. Following his high school graduation, he married Barbara Ann Lampitt on April 28, 1956 in Chicago, IL. He served in the United States Army from 1957 to 1959 in the 82nd Airborne. Billy was a union carpenter and built many area homes along with his father, farming, woodworking, and sawing logs on
